August 2014

– The execution of American journalist James Foley, where the campaign appointed the place of his execution in the village of Rtalah near Union University.

– Air raids on Raqqa by regime’s warplanes, fall of dozens of martyrs and hundreds of wounded.

– Clashes between ISIS and regime forces in the vicinity of Brigade 93 ended with controlling it after a series of suicide bombings, and seize heavy weapons which allowed them to open the Battle of Ein Arab, recording escape cases for large numbers of Brigade’s soldiers, most of them arrived in the areas under regime’s control and Tabaqa military airport, despite the complete blockade of the brigade, where all the land surrounding it was under the control of the group.

– Continuance of violations by the group, such as the arrests of youth under the pretext of prayer, as well as the women in charge of violating the Islamic dress and finery.

– Raiding educational institutes which have been licensed by the group, and the arrest of the female students at the institute as a pressure to prevent the teaching of female inside Raqqa entirely, despite of full compliance with the instructions imposed by the group upon these institutes.

– Executions of civilians at a roundabout of al-Na’eem in Raqqa and Karama and Sabka.

– Movement of landing of military cargo planes (Ilyushin) in the military airport of Tabaqa, to carry out almost full evacuation operation from the airport.

– ISIS evacuated some of its positions from the southern side of the airport, a violent attack by ISIS at the airport but they suffered heavy human losses reached more than 400 people, at the end they controlled the airport on August 22, where the regime’s losses were equivalent to the losses of ISIS near 400 dead and prisoner, and the escape of large numbers of regime’s soldiers to the city of Salamiyeh.

– Fierce airstrikes on the city of Raqqa after the fall of the airport, which led to the fall of 20 martyrs as a result of these air raids, execution operations of the prisoners from the airport in different parts of the governorate.

– The number of air raids on Raqqa and surroundings during this month exceeded 250 and more than 15 Scud missiles.

September 2014

– Focus on the poor health situation in the city of Raqqa, where public hospitals have become almost beyond service, and the services provided in these hospitals below the required level.
