Abdalaziz Alhamza – Exclusive – Raqqa is Being Slaughtered Silently

ISIS militant group continued random arrests in the city of Raqqa, for the past few weeks and up till now through the device of “Hesba”, although there is no compelling reason for these arrests, which included a large number of young people, most of them came out within days and the others remained for a longer period.

Reporter of the campaign “Raqqa is being slaughtered silently” reported that ISIS was arrested yesterday, a young man in a suburb of the city on charges of walking around at night without carrying his identity card, where he was taken to the headquarters of Hesba and released this morning.

He added that most of released prisoners who have requested anonymity, said that the group uses a new way with the civilians inside the prison, where they were treated well without any torture, and that the clerics of ISIS and some prisoners tried to convince young people to join the group for the defense of religion, and because of the battle is against Islam, but a large number of them rejected this idea, prompting the group to continue arresting more young people.

In the same context, the reporter said that ISIS seduces young people with money and offers of marriage and provide relief aid, in the case of approval to join the ranks of the group.

The arrests campaign came after spreading rumors by some of ISIS supporters, that it will be issued a conscription decision, therefore a lot of young people are thinking now to escape and flee to another places are not under its control, but later some imams denied these rumors on the pulpits of mosques.
