Terror Incubators, Raqqa as an Example (3)

RBSS

After the terrorist group controlled over the city of Raqqa in January 2014, ISIS establish what is called (The Tribal Council) which aims to fix the group’s presence in the area and using the same method the regime has used earlier which was the elimination of others influence. In order to do that, the terrorist group appointed non-notables as tribal representatives in the tribal council, ISIS gave them money, houses and power but not a military power at all.
Moreover, ISIS terrorized people by executing and slaughtering the group’s enemies in public squares all that just to let people feel that they have no savior than the tribal council made by ISIS.

The terrorist group was aware of media’s role, so they published lots of videos that show the life in the group territory and how people are enjoying the life under the group’s rule. The feasts with the tribal’s elders were just to show the world that the group is now a part of the society and they are accepted by people and elders and we do not miss how the group used civilian neighbors to settle in so when a strike hits the neighbor it will appear as if the (enemies) are targeting civilians.
The group’s biggest deception should be mentioned, in last year’s summer and when the terrorist group had lost Tal Abyad and the city moved to Kurds control, the group urged the tribal council to put a rule of displacing all Kurds from Raqqa and this is how the situation moved to an ethnic issue.

The concept of terror incubators is a very superficial concept, it is often used to cover Assad’s crimes and violations when targeting the innocent civilians who are shown in media as ISIS supporters and their children are the future ISIS fighters, this gives the terrorist group a great favor because by this they urge people to believe what ISIS is claiming of being the savior of Muslim Sunnis.

We do need media to show the difference between the innocent civilians and ISIS, even the attackers who aim to eliminate ISIS should watch out their way of treating the civilians because it plays a major role. Till today, people prefer ISIS over Assad, Hezbollah and YPG because of their known violations and massacres that is why people of these areas are fighting beside ISIS because they are defending their selves not ISIS at all.
