ISIS Child Soldiers

Abdalaziz Alhamza “RBSS”

The father of the British boy was not the first father to be surprised that his son is recruited in ISIS. The little boy was executing one of the Kurd hostages along with a group of his peers from Egypt, Kurdistan, Tunisia and Uzbekistan.
Many gathers have been shocked seeing their children exercising the most heinous terrorist acts. The terrorist group, since its first beginning, relied on children in order to raise a generation of extremists using the most brutal methods of exploitation of their need to money through paining monthly salaries and providing food aids.
ISIS used the recruited children, at the beginning, in guarding shifts and in logistics such as distribution of food. Later, the terrorist group used recruited children in battles in order to make up the shortage in numbers of the fighters.
The terrorist group called these recruited children (The Caliphate Cubs), taking advantage of them by filling their heads with words such as religion victory and God has chose them to raise the religion flag.
These children are distributed among several categories:
Some of them are children of the group’s fighters while others belong to ISIS controlled areas in both Syria and Iraq and some others have been kidnapped from the areas ISIS fled out of.
The terrorist group has established several camps in order to train the recruited kids. Raqqa, the group’s capital, has the largest number of these camps. One of the reports indicated that there are five children camps in Raqqa in order to train the children to use different kinds of weapons along with Shariah courses.
Moreover, ISIS used children as spies among people or even among the group’s fighters as well as using them in suicide attacks, the reason that lies behind using them for such tasks is not to raise doubts.
