In the twenty fifth of last June, Stephen O’brien , the United Nations Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs, said that Darya city in Damascus suburbs has become the capital of barrel bombs in Syria.\u00a0Darya has been under the regime\u2019s siege for 1348 days. According to the documentation office of the local council, in last July there have been 8 raids by warplanes, more than 536 barrel bombs, more than 288 surface to surface missiles and more than 4954 shells from different types and sizes.<\/p>\n

These information above summarize the massive destruction that made by these barrel bombs which was invented by Assad regime and became a registered trademark in Assad\u2019s name.
\nOf course, Darya doesn\u2019t face this curse alone; Aleppo has also suffered from these death barrels. A lot of videos were recorded by regime\u2019s soldiers in there helicopters laughing and throwing barrel bombs over Syrian cities as well as hundreds and even thousands of videos recorded by activists. A lot of these activists died or lost limbs during their documentation of this special Syrian way to die invented by the criminal regime.
\nA few days ago, eastern Aleppo, which is controlled by the Syrian Rebels, was getting under the regime\u2019s siege. More than three hundred thousand Syrians were getting under siege after the regime controlled Castillo road which links the city of Aleppo and its suburbs.<\/p>\n

The city markets became empty of all kinds of food and the health status was in a real bad situation especially after targeting most of the hospitals by the Russian warplanes. It is obvious that Assad regime wanted the people\u2019s surrender, these people resisted regimes army, many militias related to Assad and the Russian occupation led by the Russian president Putin who benefited from Obama\u2019s weak police and did whatever he wanted in Syria.
\nBut Aleppo rebels and people did not surrender to this. The rebel\u2019s military factions launched a counter battle to lift the siege and they used different military tactics, they are today around the corner from lifting the siege and saving hundreds of thousands of civilians.<\/p>\n

The most important factor is the involvement of the people in the battle through a special innovation, recorded by the name of Aleppo\u2019s people, which is burning tires to prevent Russian and regime\u2019s warplanes from flying over the city.
\nBy this remarkable way, the people of Aleppo proved to the world that they are not going to surrender and they will use all possible ways to face Assad criminality and the Russian colonialist whose defense minister announce by himself that the siege around the liberated parts of Aleppo is done.<\/p>\n

Images coming from Aleppo and its suburbs go beyond descriptions. Burning tires and dyeing the sky in black were like a festival without worrying about the dangers that are coming.
\nThese photos had a great impact in rising Syrians sentiment. Perhaps the most influential photo was the photo of several children who have finished burning their tires and stood together and smiled for the camera as if they were sending a message to the world that they are there facing Assad regime, they are completing what Daraa children had started in 2011 by writing freedom on their schools\u2019 walls.
\nAssad supporters have long celebrated the regimes barrel bombs and military shoes while the revolution Syrians are now glorifying these tires, the photos of Aleppo people with the tires will remain engraved in the Syrians memory.<\/p>\n
