Canned Luncheons is Infidel … Kill Them

Exclusive

ISIS group prevented shops in Raqqa from selling canned luncheons and “Maggi” bouillon cubes and energy drinks, ordering shopkeepers to get rid of them and sell them outside the boundaries of “Caliphate State”, under penalty of exposure to punishments ranging from fines to whipping to even imprisonment.

Members of the group justified this decision, saying that cows and chickens used within the industry of canned luncheons and Maggi are not slaughtered in the Islamic manner, and that ISIS members did not attend the slaughter operations, making it prohibited. In addition, energy drinks contains toxic and harmful substances for health, according to their description.

But it seems that this justification provided by the group is ridiculous, leaving some people wondering whether the knife of ISIS that has cut the throats of many civilians is a useful medicine for health? Or is it correct religiously and is being slaughtered according to the Islamic manner?

One of the shopkeepers told a reporter from Raqqa is Being Slaughtered Silently that members of the group were buying large quantities of canned luncheons and energy drinks for their training camps, so this sudden decision is surprising. He argued that ISIS is seeking to impose an additional collar on traded goods, as well as issuing its random decisions in order to impose its hegemony over the city.

ISIS did not exclude any kind of these products, but they included it in their decision, accusing the producers of these goods of disbelief and failing to follow the rules of Islamic slaughter and public health. They gave a specific deadline to get rid of them by selling them in areas beyond ISIS control, as people living in those areas are infidels and apostates, and they can use such infringing material.

ISIS in a previous step has burned large quantities of frozen chicken in the city of Akhtrein in the northern countryside of Aleppo, because it came from the United States in spite of the presence of signs of “Slaughter not Strangle”, and the presence of the words “Slaughtered according to Islamic law “. Large numbers of civilians were deprived of these goods, while they badly need them, as a result of the deterioration of living conditions in the areas controlled by the group.
