ISIS decision during last period to compel teachers of Raqqa to present repentance, led many of university graduates and high studies “master and doctorate” to escape outside the governorate, where the group has exercised last chapter of tightening to put teachers between only two options, either to present repentance or death for apostasy and looting their properties.

Prompting graduates and teachers to leave their home for fear of arbitrary recent decisions issued by the group, they have justified their fear by many matters:

1. Forcing them to present repentance and registering their names in a private records, what may entail accountabilities and consequences later.

2. Recent rumors about the intention of ISIS to force them to teaching in its own schools, and sending them to Islamic courses.

3. The fear of forcing them to make pledge, which obligating them with the base of “Loyalty and Enmity”, or turning them into fighters at a later time, so they will be obliged to respond when ISIS announce calling to fight later.

4. Arbitrary actions committed by Assad’s regime against them, like kicking them out of job and denial of salary which is their only source of income.

5. ISIS threats for teachers that those who did not undergo the so-called “repentance”, they will lose their properties and lives.

All Teachers are afraid that ISIS will prevent them from receiving their salaries, considering it a taboo action, knowing that the group declared that there is no decision at the moment to prevent the receipt of salary, but the papers of repentance included that “God is the only provider and dependence on the Juggernaut in livelihood is inadmissible,” ISIS didn’t deny all of these guesses until this moment.

The number of education staff in Raqqa such as teachers and administrators are nearly 24,000 employees, %90 of them still receive their salaries from Assad’s regime between now and then, teachers has become between the hell of ISIS arbitrary decisions and the decision of move to the regime areas, where a large section of male teachers are pursued for reserve military service, so they will be arrested by regime to serve in his army on the fighting fronts.

In while some of them chose to travel to Turkey and search for another source of livelihood, most of them are university graduates and holders of diverse experiences in various disciplines, idea of immigration to Europe has become dominated on others who hoping to obtain privileges and facilities provided in Europe.

Teachers and the breeders of generations were seen in the cities of refugees looking for any job opportunity to help them for a living, even if it was inconvenient with his former social status, and it may not fit with his expertise such as working in restaurants and other various jobs, and this also applies to other certificates holders who were working in government and service departments, such as engineers and lawyers who are struggling to stay away from the thought of extremist group and its multiple temptations.

That medieval humorless joke has to stop. ISIS must be destroyed once and for a all. The West has to take concrete actions to send these fools into oblivion.
